McClellanville, South Carolina's shrimp fleet sits quietly on Jeremy Creek just prior to the beginning of a new shrimp season. The picturesque, coastal village, has earned its livelihood from the sea and coastal marshes by fishing, shrimping and oystering since the 1800's. Devastated by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, residents rebuilt the only way of life they've ever known and continue to thrive economically while disdaining commercial development.
